Among the Speak Up Platform participants taken into custody on 14 January, Orçun Masatçı, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Theatre Coordinator and brother of the Yenikapı Theatre actress Nazlı Masatçı, will be transferred to the courthouse today due to his being in quarantine as a result of Covid-19.

When Orçun Masatçı was appointed as coordinator to the municipal theatre, the Yeni Asır newspaper, published in İzmir, reported the news in its headlines as “Soyer’s Terrorist Theatre” and accused the theatre actors of being members of a terrorist organization.
