The theater artist İlknur Bayzit Çatal, who is a drama teacher in Urla Municipality, announced on her Twitter account that she was dismissed by the trustee management of the municipality as of July 1, 2021, and appointed as a service employee in a buffet.
Bayzit Çatal, who stated that she only makes a living by performing, said the following about the decision of the trustee management, “As someone who believes that all kinds of labor and work are sacred, even though I salute all working people who are service employees with great respect, I am clearly aware that the appointment made is far from good intentions and is a clear insult to my profession, and an effort to marginalize and humiliate my profession.”
