Festival posters that KeçiFest volunteers wanted to hang at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University were censored by the university. The volunteers applied to the Department of Health, Culture, and Sports to receive permission to hang the posters on the campus. The Ministry returned the posters by censoring the “not allegiance but obstinance” statement, the main slogan of the festival on the posters, and informed the volunteers that the posters can be hung without this phrase.
The reply given to the students who were wondering about the reason for the censorship was “Without that expression, it is okay, but this is a state institution, it will leave us in a difficult position. You young people are inclined to such things…”
