Kurdish stand-up show banned in Istanbul

Fatih District Governorship banned the stand-up show titled ‘Dawiya Dawi’ without showing any justification


According to the news article of Mezopotamya Agency (MA), Fatih District Governorship banned the stand-up show Dawiya Dawi (“Sooner or Later”) performed by Özcan Ateş, to be held at Su Performance Arts Stage within the scope of “Let’s overcome addiction and build a new life” campaign of Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP).

MA noted that the governor’s office announced to Ayhan Uslu, an authority of Su Performance Arts Stage, that the performance was banned without showing any justification. After the ban, it was announced that the performance will be staged at Bağcılar district building of HDP.
