Concert bans against musicians are still ongoing. After Xecê’s performances in Muş, Ağrı, Erzurum, Aydın, and Iğdır, the concert scheduled for Kars on November 17 was canceled by the local governorate due to “renovation.” Xecê announced the cancellation via social media.
Similarly, İlkay Akkaya’s concert in Osmangazi, Bursa, on November 18 was banned by the district governorship. Akkaya shared the news of the ban on her social media account, highlighting that this was not the first time they faced such a restriction in Osmangazi. Despite having previously filed a lawsuit and won, the law was ignored once again.
Akkaya’s concert in Nilüfer on October 31, 2022, was also banned under the pretext of “public order and security” following a petition from the Nilüfer District Presidency of the Grey Wolves to the Nilüfer District Governorate.
