The series started streaming on 22 April 2022 worldwide. Netflix Turkey first rated the series 13+, yet the rating was recently changed to 18+. Moreover, on the website of the series on Netflix Turkey, it now reads \u201cThis series is adapted from <em>Heartstopper<\/em>, a book declared as an obscene publication based on a decision by Obscene Publications Board under the Ministry of Family and Social Services Protection of Minors of the Turkish Republic\u201d (\u201cBu dizi, T.C. Aile ve Sosyal Hizmetler Bakanl\u0131\u011f\u0131 Muz\u0131r Ne\u015friyat Kurulunca k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fckler i\u00e7in uygun olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131 karara ba\u011flanan \u2018Kalp \u00c7arp\u0131nt\u0131s\u0131\u2019 kitab\u0131ndan uyarlanm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r\u201d [in Turkish].)<\/p>\n<p>Three of Oseman\u2019s comic book series, published by Yabanc\u0131 Yay\u0131nlar\u0131 (Publishing), were <a href=\"https:\/\/susma24.com\/en\/index.php\/the-book-heart-stopper-declared-obscene-publication\/\">declared obscene publications<\/a> in September 2021.
