At today&#8217;s hearing at the 35th Heavy Penal Court of \u00c7a\u011flayan Courthouse, Sar\u0131o\u011flu was sentenced to one year and six months in prison.<\/span><\/h6>\n<h6><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;\">According to a report by Ferhat Ya\u015far from GazeteDuvar, the case against Sar\u0131o\u011flu was initially opened four years ago on charges of \u201cmaking propaganda for a terrorist organization\u201d after his social media posts were reported to C\u0130MER. The case was dismissed four years ago, but the plaintiff appealed, and the Court of Appeals ruled in favor of Sar\u0131o\u011flu. However, the Second Chamber of the Supreme Court overturned the decision. As a result, Sar\u0131o\u011flu was retried at the Istanbul 35th Heavy Penal Court. At the second hearing of the trial held today, the court sentenced Sar\u0131o\u011flu to one year and six months in prison. The panel decided to postpone the announcement of the verdict, citing the absence of a prior criminal record as grounds.
