The lawsuit was filed against director \u00c7ayan Demirel and journalist Ertu\u011frul Mavio\u011flu in 2017 for &#8220;making illegal organization propaganda.&#8221; The appeal at the Gaziantep Regional Court of Appeals was rejected, and the sentence was upheld. The lawyers have now appealed to the Court of Cassation and requested the decision to be overturned.<\/p>\n<p>The social media account \u00c7ayan&#8217;la Dayan\u0131\u015fma (Solidarity with \u00c7ayan) was opened to support \u00c7ayan Demirel. Demirel, who has completely lost his eyesight due to his health condition, is facing prosecution.
